The Kingsmill Women's Social Club
A Message from our President
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve as your President for 2020-2021. I have been active in our club for 5 years and love what we represent both individually, and as a club. Where else can you have this much fun while helping each other, as well as making a difference in our community? The Kingsmill Women’s Social has served our community for 44 years, and I am very honored to be a part of the club and following in the footsteps of some amazing and talented women.
We’re entering into a new year filled with board members ready to begin the new club year–and I’m so pleased at how many wonderful women will be serving this club in leadership rolls–some for the first time! It’s always exciting when a new board comes in, with new people and fresh ideas. Our Board has already been brainstorming and planning informative and fun-filled events including our dinner/dance in February. I don’t want to give too much away so look for upcoming events in the Bulletin and our website. As new members join the club, we are pleased that we will have more women becoming involved in our club’s activities.
One of my goals for this coming year is not only to build membership, but to have our members embrace what this club has to offer. The KWSC has a proud history of community, and we want to continue that vision. Becoming involved in club activities offers the opportunity of building relationships and friendships within our community. I have heard so many members talk about the friendships they have made, friendships that have spanned not just years–but decades. So many of our members have developed strong bonds of sisterhood. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, worked on projects, had road trips, and adventures. Had it not been for this club, many of our paths would never have crossed.
We’re looking forward to this year and hope you join us on the journey!
