The Kingsmill Women's Social Club
A Message from our President
Wow! Summer is half over, and we are all thinking about what the Fall Season has in store for all of us. This past year has been challenging to all clubs including KWSC. The pandemic has changed the ways clubs held their meetings, had social events and completed activities.
We’re entering into a new year filled with board members ready to begin the new club year–and I’m so pleased at how many wonderful women will be serving this club in leadership rolls–some for the first time! It’s always exciting when a new board comes in, with new people and fresh ideas. Our Board has met we were able to get a lot of things accomplished which I can’t wait to share with all of you. We have been brainstorming and planning informative and fun-filled events including our dinner/dance in February. I don’t want to give too much away so look for upcoming events in the Bulletin and our website.
As new members join the club, we are pleased that we will have more women becoming involved in our club’s activities. We have over 50 new members. The KWSC has a proud history of community, and we want to continue that vision. Becoming involved in club activities offers the opportunity of building relationships and friendships within our community. I have heard so many members talk about the friendships they have made, friendships that have spanned not just years–but decades. So many of our members have developed strong bonds of friendship. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, worked on projects, had road trips, and adventures. Had it not been for this club, many of our paths would never have crossed.
Stay safe, hydrate, and enjoy the rest of your summer. I can’t wait to see many of you on September 28th, KWSC Opening Meeting.
We’re looking forward to this year and hope you join us on the journey!
